Do You Know Your Market?

Any great movie has a protagonist and an antagonist.

Think conflict like: Superman and Batman! Or The Rebel Alliance versus The Galactic Empire!

Now, what does any of this have to do with your business?

Basically everything…

Why?

Because you have to know who you are attacking.

In business, it is all too common for someone to say: “oh, I’ll work with anyone.”

But that just isn’t true.

You have to make a choice.

If you don’t pick a market, you are saying that everyone is your market and that means that no-one is your market.

So how do you pick a market?

1. You begin with yourself:

You have to start with yourself and the value you want to create for your market.

2. You need to understand who will buy what you are selling:

As in, not just thinks you have a great idea, concept, whatever…but someone that can appreciate your value and is willing to buy it.

3. Can I reach them?

That’s the key…is there a way to cost effectively reach these people?
