Hi!
I was reading an HBR piece this morning about portfolio careers and the idea of creating a drawing with all of the different ways you’ve added value during your career to be pretty interesting.
I took a bit of a sabbatical over the summer after 2022 was a year of all hell breaking loose for me from COVID and challenges brought out by Long COVID.
The premise of the post is that a lot of us don’t have careers as a straight line any longer.
I’ll raise my hand to that one.
Instead, we have a “portfolio” of jobs, experiences, and attributes that gives us the strength to unique.
I like this idea and since I misplaced some notes on Burger King’s brand…it gave me something productive to think about instead of dogging myself for losing my notes.
Here is my drawing.

Let me see yours.
Dave
BTW, I’m doing a free webinar next week about selling tickets and the secondary market in case you or someone you know is interested in that topic.
Due to my experience as a ticket seller, I get a lot of questions about this topic.
Which gets back to today’s topic and the common theme: teaching people to be more effective and strategic is the idea that holds everything together.
Also, I’m a brilliant marketer.
