I’m working with the team at Maven on putting together a pricing cohort class for the fall. The first session is looking like a 3-hour workshop-type event where I teach small business owners, consultants, and solopreneurs how to set the right price.
I did a podcast with Giles Edwards a few weeks back and I went into pricing quite a bit. As I was mentioning to a few people recently, I wanted to spend more time teaching and putting together a cohort class seems like a cool way to make this kind of pricing information accessible to people.
As I’m working through the syllabus for the course, I wanted to put together a quick list of some of the things I want to make sure to hit on:
- Price Research
- MVP moment of marketing
- Price’s relation to value
- Discounts are for dummies
- Bundling and unbundling
- Premium pricing
- Entry level pricing
- The brand price connection
- Price experimentation
- Ups and downs of dynamic pricing
What else would y’all want to learn? What do you see me missing?
