10 ideas from my upcoming pricing class

I’m working with the team at Maven on putting together a pricing cohort class for the fall. The first session is looking like a 3-hour workshop-type event where I teach small business owners, consultants, and solopreneurs how to set the right price.

I did a podcast with Giles Edwards a few weeks back and I went into pricing quite a bit. As I was mentioning to a few people recently, I wanted to spend more time teaching and putting together a cohort class seems like a cool way to make this kind of pricing information accessible to people.

As I’m working through the syllabus for the course, I wanted to put together a quick list of some of the things I want to make sure to hit on:

  1. Price Research
  2. MVP moment of marketing
  3. Price’s relation to value
  4. Discounts are for dummies
  5. Bundling and unbundling
  6. Premium pricing
  7. Entry level pricing
  8. The brand price connection
  9. Price experimentation
  10. Ups and downs of dynamic pricing

What else would y’all want to learn? What do you see me missing?
