I recently heard that “scarcity marketing” is a thing.
At first, this had me scratching my head, asking, “Did I miss something?”
Then I did a quick bit of research and realized…NO, I haven’t.
Scarcity marketing is really just new fangled code for creating urgency.
Duh!
That’s not something new. That should just be a best practice.
But I think this goes back to so many of the challenges that we are dealing with in marketing and advertising today, we need a refresher on the basics before we go crazy over the next new thing.
