Communications isn’t always that difficult, though you would never know it by looking at the world…
There are 3 simple steps that will allow you to more effectively communicate with almost anyone.
1. Make your communications clear. That means cut out the jargon and vague language and focus on simplicity and clarity.
2. Make the message concise. I do a lot of political ad writing and you have about 60 words…so make your message short and sweet.
3. Communicate in a way that is easily understood by your audience. Think about how the average tabloid newspaper is written at an 8th grade level or 3rd grade level or whatever level your town’s main paper is…and think about your audience, don’t make something that should be said like Dr. Seuss into microbiology.
