From time to time I like to throw out some suggestions on books that I have found useful or helpful….I figured I haven’t done this in a while so I will give it a go today…all of these links will lead you to Amazon through my affiliate link:
* Value Based Fees by Alan Weiss. Whenever I am asked about my business model and my fee structure, I point people to Alan Weiss’s books. This one is revolutionary in its logic and simplicity and if you embrace the concepts, you will be very happy.
* To Sell Is Human by Daniel Pink. This is a sales book that clearly spells out how important sales is to everyone, not just sales people. Obviously, we have moved into a period where business skills like marketing and sales transcend their business roles and are part of everyday life. So check this book out.
* Relationship Economics by David Nour. This is a book about networking and it is really helpful to people that might dislike the sleazy, collect business cards kind of networking that all too often seems to be the norm. This is networking for people that understand the value of delivering value and developing relationships.
* Michael Jordan: The Life by Roland Lazenby. This was a book I wasn’t sure about when I bought it, but that once I started reading it, I couldn’t put it down. I think one of the really great things about this book is that it really reminded me how great MJ was and how crazy it is to compare current greats like Kobe Bryant and LeBron James to MJ…he was otherworldly and this book just reminds us of it.
