Like a lot of people, I find myself flipping through the news…try as I might to avoid it.
Here is one thing that I see a lot on the news shows…and that’s conversations centered around “leadership."
Unfortunately, too much of these conversations centers on "leadership” as some symbolic and something that is a part of game playing and point scoring.
As we have seen time and again recently, the bar for “leadership” is set very low and often not met.
As leaders in our businesses and communities, the first step of being a leader is to stop thinking about “leadership” as a one time thing or a way to score points….leadership begins with a decision to be responsible for yourself and going forward from there.
