I’m pretty fortunate, I have a small platform and one that is growing. Each time I engage with my audience, I feel very lucky because it isn’t something that I take for granted.
So I was thinking about how I can embrace my audience and make their challenges my own, so that I can better serve them….
Here are 3 ways that I try to embrace my audience for greater good…
1. Giving away good advice: Too many people take their audiences for granted and make it all about them. I try not to do that. I try to give each of you information, articles, and ideas that can be extremely useful. And, if you need me, my email is pretty much right here on the site.
2. Share my failures: Too many people write so much about all the really great successes they have. I actually think these things are useful, but I think that sharing your failures is much more important. So I try to share those failures with my audience so that they know I am a real person that has struggles, just like everyone else…and, hopefully, my challenges and the challenges I overcome will be a driving force for positive change from my audience.
3. Connect as much as possible offline: Connection is what this is all about. So I offer and desire to meet up with each and everyone of you whenever I am in your town. Because connection is the heart of business.
Let me know what you think about embracing your audiences and adding value. I’d like to know how you all accomplish this.
