I gave a talk at SAIC recently called “Leading Is Communicating” and in the presentation I talked about there are two types of leaders…visionary and task oriented.
Visionary: think Ronald Reagan, MLK Jr, Steve Jobs, or 2008 era Barack Obama.
Task Oriented: think of Bill Gates, LBJ, or Tim Cook.
In the presentation, I pointed out that it doesn’t matter what kind of leader you are…both of them are important, but that you do take on the role of leader.
So my question to you is, ‘what kind of leader are you?’
