Stop me if you’ve heard this before:
I’m really focusing on these three words this year: reinvention, excel, and challenge.
While a lot of this is about me, it isn’t all about me, because I don’t like living in a bubble with no one to share the joy with.
That’s why I have been thinking about how everyone can live a little better lately. And part of living better is having a job or source of income that gives you more security and more earning potential.
Recently I finished reading Poke The Box by Seth Godin. Great book and a great idea. One that spreads. Seth talks about how we live in a world where we own the factories now. And, I tried grasping that, thinking about it and figuring out a way that it really is true.
So I was checking my email recently and saw that my friend, Gil, had released a new album, all by himself on iTunes. Then, I read a blog about this girl, Amanda Hocking, who is self-publishing all of her books using the Amazon Kindle.
Here are two real world examples of owning the factory. You have ideas and the tools are available to take them out into the world.
So let me ask….knowing this, why would you settle for a job that has a boring description? If you have the ability to have people knocking down the doors for you.
