Granted, I stole the title from a section in Seth Godin’s new workbook based on Poke The Box, but the sentiment is still mine and true to you.
In the workbook Seth calls everyone a risk taker. Then, he asks you to think about what you have done that could be considered risky.
For me, I’ve accepted risky challenges all the times I have moved across the country with no safety net to find bigger challenges. I’ve gone away to Alabama, Orlando, Chicago, St Louis, Seattle, and New York City without a net. I’ve succeeded and failed. I’ve taken risks.
I’ve started businesses: successes and failures.
Hell, I’ve even written blog posts: good and bad.
But, this isn’t really about me. (Or not just about me.)
Its also about you.
As I look out at the world from my desk or from a park bench or from a coffee shop…or wherever, I see a lot of people that are waiting on another opportunity or a chance to do something. And, I admit, I do the same thing sometimes too. Despite what I have learned over the years.
Now, I ask you:
What can you do today that might be risky? That might fail?
Or, what have you done that was risky? How did that turn out? What was the worst thing that happened?
