I’ve been playing with this idea of “leading softly” for several weeks now. And, it started as a simple idea about project managers leading from a place of communication and soft skills first.
But as I have gone further with my thought process, I have begun to think about softly not just as the ability to communicate, but the ability for a firm or organization to manage specifically for the strengths of its “softest” assets, its people.
When you see a list of the top places to work, I think you are seeing firms that value their people…that goes without saying, but are these firms valuing them enough to push them to be all that they can be?
