Recently I have thrown around the term “leadership gap” a lot…because I have heard it a lot.
As I have been working with and talking to clients and leaders in organizations, I have begun to realize that there isn’t a “gap” so much as a vacuum.
When I say “leadership vacuum,” I mean that because leadership takes guts and strength. Too often, those are the things missing…not the decision making skills or the authority, but the guts.
So I may go with the term “leadership vacuum” from now on.
