I’m a radical fan of the basics.
In my opinion, buzzwords and fads are just a lazy person’s attempt to seem relevant.
The real excellence is in focusing on doing solid work everyday. And, even when you are using a new platform or technology…that means focusing on the basics:
* Who’s my customer?
* What can I do to add value to them?
* How can I make my work excellent?
And so on….
Obviously, the gurus and ninjas will disagree.
