Two Weeks of Progress

As I’ve discussed before on this blog, I took the Chris Brogran challenge of coming up with three words that I want to define my 2011:  reinvention, challenge, excel.

After just over two weeks, I am going to give a little status update.

While I don’t have a grid or anything to measure what I am doing on a daily basis, as my friend, Coach Adam, does on his blog…which I will link to later when I talk about athletics.  I am going to produce one over the next day or two…

But, so far….

In the reinvention category, I have done a good job of really reinventing my body and my mindset.  Since the first of the year, I am down 7.2 pounds….which was a big goal of mine in the reinvention process.

I’ve also been attempting to read something positive and motivational daily.  Which for the most part, I have done.

In the challenge part:  I’m not quite living up to my own standards.  And, I will have to create the goal axis that will allow me to chart my progress and allow me to build the challenge portion into my daily life.

The final word: excel.  The daily process of reinvention is building towards the excel part.  As it is, I have a couple of athletic events that I am going to participate in this year, and when I am closer to them, I will announce them so that you can rag me on if I fail.  I am also working on a project for November that is in support of Stand Up For Kids and National Homeless Youth Awareness month.  In the coming weeks and months, I will be reaching out for volunteers and people to help put together a pretty awesome event that will benefit homeless youth and draw attention to the continued problem of homelessness in the county.

That’s all for now.

As always, your thoughts and ideas are welcome below.
