If you read enough about business and the world, you will hear talk about this being the era of “big data."
I’m not sure that we need an era for that…
Here’s why:
* We have always had access to tons of data and information, it is what we do with the data that is important….more data doesn’t equate to better decisions. In fact, it could mean we make worse decisions due to information overload and decision paralysis.
* Who’s the say that the data we are basing our decisions on is relevant. If we just went off of data, I’m not sure we would ever have created things like the iPod, iPad, Google Glasses, or lots of other products we love, or can’t live without.
