One concept that we always need to pay attention to is our differentiation.
The key is that we are all unique, but we also have a skill set that is likely very similar to others in our field.
In establishing differentiation, you need to really think about how to frame your expertise.
Most of the time that comes down to value.
Speak in terms of your value proposition and you will go a long way to showing what your differentiation is.
But if you fall into the trap of talking about the tasks that you take to get the results, you quickly become a commodity…which is the fastest way to lose differentiation.
