Using a ladder of inference to improve your problem solving

An idea that I think needs a lot more attention this year is the idea of thinking through your problems by building them against a ladder of inference.

What does this mean?

First, you reject the idea that there is only one right answer for any challenge.

Second, recognize that you need to make connections with people with different solutions because they may have gathered or come across different data that allows them to see a challenge from a different perspective.

Finally, recognize that ideas gain speed as you add to them.
