Are you really selling your true value?

In building a strategy for your business, the most important thing that you have to start with is your value.

Let me repeat that because is a concept that may get lost pretty easily if we aren’t careful.

The most important thing about anything starts with your VALUE!

And, when it comes to value, the big question is…are you doing a good job of understanding your value and expressing that to your clients and potential clients?

In many cases, the answer may very well be no.

So how do you really know if you are expressing your value correctly?

1. Understand where you want to take your business:

In many cases, where you are isn’t where you want to end up. And, that comes back to value. Because the first, most important question you can ask about value isn’t what do we deliver, but actually, what do we want to deliver going forward.

If you ask yourself this question, you are going to put yourself in a position to understand to deliver a value proposition that is much stronger than one that is just built on sustaining your current success.

2. Understand what it is your clients love about you:

How many times are you asked the question: “Why do your clients buy from you?” and then you are jammed up?

I’d guess more than you can imagine.

So it is important that as you work on building a stronger value proposition that you focus on why people are currently buying from you.

How do you find out?

Ask.

And, when you get that feedback, make sure your message and value proposition are in alignment with what you are saying to the world.

3. Understand that you will need to revisit your value from time to time:

Value is something that is going to change constantly. What made you great in the past may not be what keeps you great and in demand.

Or, as I said above, your needs and desires for your business will likely change as your organization grows and evolves.

Whatever the cause of this, you need to be prepared to look at the value you create from time to time to ensure that you remain relevant.
